Hair Restart^® by Fotona

Hair Restart^® by Fotona uses the erbium laser wavelength at a long pulse duration, which is unique to Fotona. This gently heats the skin. It was originally used for its great skin tightening properties, but it was then found that if it is used over the scalp it can increase hair density.

This stimulation of hair density has been reported in many clinics around the world that had the Fotona laser. The benefit is seen in both men and women.

The treatment has no recovery time and does not hurt. It feels like warm “sparkles” on the head.

The Fotona company has developed a special comb-like attachment which can be used to separate the hair so that the laser beams reach the scalp. It also means that larger areas can be treated.

The treatment is best done once a week initially and as the hair density improves the frequency can be reduced.

It can be done as stand-alone treatment or in combination with other treatments to stimulate hair growth, such as platelet rich plasma and Keravive by Hydrafacial^®.

The cost of a treatment is £135 when done by one of our nurses/laser therapists or £675 for a course of six.
