As the largest organ in the body, the skin can experience a wide array of conditions. All our consultant dermatologists are highly experienced and, having undertaken the many years of training to become certified as consultants, they can fully diagnose and treat all skin conditions.
They can deal with common conditions such as skin tags. warts, eczema and psoriasis through to the diagnoses and management of complex rashes. Our dermatologists are fully trained to diagnose and manage all skin cancers including melanoma. The early detection of skin cancer forms a large part of our work, and the earlier skin cancer is caught, the more successful the outcome. The consultant dermatologists work closely with our plastic surgeons to provide a multidisciplinary approach to skin cancer.
We also have great expertise in treating acne and offer skin care advice, prescription creams and tablets (including, where appropriate, Isotretinoin/Roaccutane), microdermabrasion, Hydrafacials, Red and Blue LED light, photodynamic therapy and lasers.
We also have a particular expertise in rosacea which we manage with skin care, prescription medication, LED lights, intense pulse light and lasers.
Treatment of scars, whether it be from acne, surgery or accidents, also forms a large part of our practice and is done with our extensive range of state-of-the-art lasers and alongside our consultant plastic surgeons.
The consultant dermatologists can correctly diagnose pigmentation and brown marks (including excluding skin cancer) and we have some of the most sophisticated lasers available to remove pigmentation.
We also offer diagnosis and treatment options for hair disorders, birthmarks, lumps, bumps and cysts, excessive sweating, fungal nail infections, contact allergies, vulval dermatology and genital skin rashes.
Our consultant dermatologists have all also had extensive training in paediatric dermatology and can help patients of all ages.
